counting in hindi

The numbers are strings made up of numbers used to show the size. They are used to measure the size of a thing, the amount of size or how small the quantity is. There are many kinds of numbers, however they belong to two primary categories: the counting numbers and scalars.

Counting numbers, Natural Numbers

They are used to count the amount of objects. They are positive whole numbers, and have no fractional elements. For instance, 12 cars, 45 students, 3 houses. For more on this see Counting numbers and Natural numbers.

Scalars

They are hindi numbers that are used to determine some quantity to any desired level of precision. For instance, a height of a structure is 12.388 meters or the speed that an airplane travels is 810.31 kilometers/hour. They can be decimal or fractional parts. Also, see the definition of a Scalar. Within this category , there are a variety of types of numbers:

  • Real numbers are the ones which can be positive, negative or zero, and can have decimal points or even fractional components. They are the most frequently used numbers that are used to measure quantities. Example 31.88 centimeters. They generally have units. For more see Real number definition.
  • Integers Whole numbers can be negative, positive or zero, but have no decimal place or fractional parts. They're similar to counting numbers , but they can also be negative. For more details, refer to Integer Definition.
  • Negative and positive numbersPositive numbers are ones that are considered to be greater than zero. A number with a large positive value is greater than a lesser one, for example , +12 is more than +2. For more details, see the Positive number definition.Negative numbers are those considered to be less than zero. They could be interpreted as a debt or deficit. In the case of example, if your wallet is empty and you owe someone and you think of your wallet as having negative $12. In this way, you've got no more than zero dollar. For more details, refer to Negative number definition.
  • Rational numbers and Irrational number Rationalnumbers are those that can be expressed in the form of the ratio between two numbers.
The word "rational" originates from 'ratio'. For instance, it is the case that 0.5 is rational because it can be written in proportional to 1/2 . For more see Rational number definition.Irrational numbers are those that are not rational, that is those that cannot be written as the ratio of two integers. For more details, refer to Irrational numeral definition.
  • Imagineary numbersImaginary numbers are required to determine that square root in negative numbers. This wouldn't normally be feasible. For example,, the square roots of -16 would be written as 4i 4i, in which i symbolizes the square root a negative one. For more information, read Imaginary number definition.
  • Complex numbersRemember that real numbers are those that are located on a line of numbers. Complex numbers extend this idea to numbers that are located on a flat, two-dimensional plane. Complex numbers are composed of two componentscalled the imaginary and the real parts. See Complex number definition.
  • Primitive numbers are integer with no factors (Integers that divides a given number without a remainder) that are not one itself. Also, it can be divided only by one and the number itself. 17 is a prime number. It isn't because it is able to be divided into 2, 4 and 8.A Composite number can be described as one that is not prime. The number does have factors, which is why it is the opposite of being a prime number. See Composite number definition.

Number notation(counting in english)

There are a variety of ways numbers can be written or diagrammed.

  • The number line is a visual way of displaying figures by putting them along a straight line. Usually, they are including zeros in the middle with positive numbers on the right and negative numbers to the left.
    For more see Number line.
  • Decimal notationThe most commonly used way to represent real numbers. A string of digits , and decimal point (dot). The digits left of the line are increasing powers of ten. Digits to the right are increasing negative powers of ten. Example 836.33 , -45.009.
  • FractionsA fraction is the sum of two numbers that are written one over the other. This indicates how much of whole we have. As an example, we might be able to have 3 quarters a pizza, or 34 of the pizza. For more information, refer to Fraction definition.
  • Normal form (Scientific notation)For very huge and small numbers the decimal notation isn't the most efficient. Normal form of numbers is composed of two parts of a coefficient as well as the exponent (power of ten). For instance the distance to Sun is 9.3000000 miles. This can be conveniently written as 93x10 6 miles. The coefficient is 93 and 6 is the exponent. For more information, refer to the The normal version (scientific notation).

Certain numbers aren't numbers in any way

Sometimes, numbers serve as identifiers. Instead of determining how large something is or counting things, they are used to identify objects that exist in the real world. A student's ID number isn't used to determine anything. It's just the number of digits in a string that identifies one particular student.

It's absurd to try and do arithmetic with them. Dividing a student number by two or finding the square root of a phone number is meaningless.
